Norman Rockwell
Norman Rockwell began painting at the age of 14 in 1910, while in school. He developed his career as an artist at a young age, and also found success at a young age. He was commissioned to complete his  first works for boys life magazine, an early american magazine that sold  issues to the boy scouts of america. Rockwell continued to further his career as an artist and painter, and during the 1930's and 1940's produced some of what was to be considered his most novel work, and some of the most influential works of the time.
Norman Rockwell was a photo realistic painter, as an artist, portrayed early 20th century life in middle america as the subject matter in many of his paintings. The picture that i picked today was a portrait that Norman Rockwell produced of himself, and happens to be one of my favorite works from Rockwell.
Rockwell is one of my favorite artists, i don"t think anyone; can, has, or will, be able to do it like Rockwell did it. He was a master at photo realistic work, which i believe to be the hardest talent to master. He appealed to all social classes, told history in his paintings, and brought the average american into the spotlight through his works.
